Warburgia ugandensis, Ashwagandha, and Nettle were chosen deliberately — native, drought-resistant species that carry both high medicinal value and strong ecological function. Their cultivation gives local communities a direct economic incentive to protect rather than deplete the natural environment. Each harvest supports the continued propagation of these species.

8,000 planted trees — each sequestering approximately 22 kg of CO₂ annually — form a measurable carbon sink of 176 tonnes per year. Unlike exotic plantation monocultures, these native shrubs and trees actively restore soil microbiology and improve water retention across the landscape. The elimination of 103 invasive species further accelerates native ecosystem recovery.
